I’ve been on a few days break this week, using up time before the new holiday year starts, but was invited by a former colleague to give a short talk in my own capacity to students embarking on the MA in Journalism course at Edinburgh Napier University.
It was an international line up, those attending already working journalists from the likes of France 24, Al Jazeera and from as far afield as South Africa, Holland and Dubai.
My hope was to stimulate some thought on not just the kinds of content produced in print and digital environments, but the cycle of the content and what approaches we might consider in ensuring it is relevant, accessible and good enough for people to want to view it.
The notes above framed the structure of my contribution.
