Eugene Duffy has been appointed Group Managing Editor for the Nationals Division of Trinity Mirror.

Previously Managing Editor for Mirror Group Newspapers, the promotion puts him in charge of the full set of UK national papers including the Daily Record and Sunday Mail, reporting to Managing Director Mark Hollinshead. 

Derek Stewart Brown who was previously Managing Editor of the Scottish titles, becomes instead Head of Motors and Commercial Supplements, a newly created role.
