THE Guardian's first Edinburgh based Beatblogger signed-off on Friday – while the search for his replacement reaches the final stages.
Tom Allan was named in the post at the end of January, but is moving on to other projects, and uploaded his last post before the weekend.
His move comes as the latest information released shows the site had around 36,000 monthly uniques for the month of May.
The first raft of interviews for replacements has already taken place, with a decision on who among the final two or so candidates will get the job expected within the next week to fortnight.
