Broadcasting Black Hole For Scottish Rugby In BBC Row

THE Caledonian Mercury carries an interesting tale of how the BBC has been accused of playing a flanker in the amount of money it is (un) willing to pay to cover Scotland's rugby tests in the Autumn compared to that of those involving Wales.

It highlights the fact that unless there is a breakthrough, an audience of 2.5 million who watched the dark blues take on the Wallabies last year will be denied the chance to do so again, calling the bias and judgement of the public broadcaster into question.

So much so MSPs are now to raise the row at the Scottish Parliament in a debate on Thursday.

That, in itself, could make for interesting viewing.
