Magazines to carry video in print advertising on battery charged slimline screen

IN a previous life I banged on about the merits of digital page turn page publications and their ability to engage fully with readers at a fraction of the cost of print.

One of the highlights for me was always the fact that you could embed video.

So I can't help but be massively interested in the latest development in the print market – video advertising.

That's right – video on the paper pages.

According to the BBC, these so called video in print adverts will start appearing in US showbiz mag Entertainment Weekly from September using slimline screens, chip technology and rechargeable battery.

I can hardly wait to see how Sky Mag and Radio Times follow that.
