AS Scotland's very own media mogul Scott Douglas never tires of telling us, his Deadline News & Picture Agency has unearthed some great journalistic talent over the years.
The most celebrated, probably, being former agency all-star Gordon Smart who now edits The Sun's showbiz Bizarre column.
Now he's gone and won a gong, of sorts, from Access Interviews for their Gone Native Award.
From my reading, it looks like he's basically gone out and got trashed with Coldplay, at their management's expense, and written it up with a hangover.
Sure enough, you can take the boy out of Edinburgh, or Deadline for that matter, but…..
Bizarre, as we know, has also long been a recruiting ground for future editors of The Sun, as much as it has been a graveyard for other careers.
And with speculation that current editor Rebekah Wade may have her sights set of other things, could it be the start of more to come for Deadline's very own rising star?
