The Day the Newspaper Died is the headline over at Splice Today, a hugely enjoyable website for anyone interested in the US media market.
It was for this article that is as thought provoking as it is well-written, and includes the comment from Tom Bevan that allowed for the heading of this blog entry.
Not everyone will agree with author Russ Smith's bleak assessment.
But his challenge that, although the demise of the print industry has been evident for years, its rapid acceleration in 2008 is still shocking on an emotional level, cannot be faulted.
