Scratching the Surface of touch-screen technology

Sure, it may have been as much of an educated guess as a stab in the dark.

But when I blogged about the possibility of touch screen computers following in the wake of the iPhone launch, I kind of had Apple in mind.

Yet it seems, and it should be little surprise, that it is Microsoft now regaining the initiative as unveiled by Bill Gates at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

And not just touch screen computers, but the Microsoft Surface table with the computer built into the device, not the other way around.

Imagine that for your picture desk, never mind being a funky new coffee table for the home.

Well, Apple, over to you….
