HeadLine: Mother’s plea over BNP trip

THE mother of a youth murdered by an Asian gang yesterday pleaded for
calm after it emerged the British National Party planned to visit the
Angela Donald begged locals in Glasgow’s south side not to indulge in
racial violence.
Kriss, 15, was kidnapped in Pollokshields on Monday and bundled into a
silver car, thought to be a Mercedes or a BMW.
His badly beaten body was found a day later in the city’s East End. Two
cars are being examined.
Ms Donald said in a statement: “Five men, full of hate – and it doesn’t
matter what colour they are – murdered my eldest son. I urge the public
not to target the Asian community.”
BNP leader Nick Griffin who plans to visit at the weekend, claims
police do not care about white victims of racial crime.
Det Supt Elliot McKenzie, leading the murder hunt, said his 60 officers
have been overwhelmed by help from the public.
Strathclyde police have played down suggestions the killing was racial.
