OLYMPIC ski hero Alain Baxter faces being stripped of his bronze medal
after failing a dope test.
The 28-year-old Scots star was found to have traces of the clubbers’
drug speed in his system after his spectacular slalom performance.
He now faces an International Olympic Committee inquiry, but three
other Salt Lake City competitors have already been forced to hand back
their medals for failing drug tests.
Last night Baxter – known as the Highlander – denied cheating and said:
“I am devastated by this news. I am entirely innocent.”
