HeadLine: Steel site will be new town

A DEAL to turn the former Ravenscraig steelworks into a new village was
UK housebuilder Wilson Bowden plc said it had exchanged contracts with
joint venture partners Anglo-Dutch steel group Corus plc and Scottish
Enterprise Lanarkshire to re-develop the former the site.
The development, at Motherwell, will include a new town with 3,500
homes and 200,000 square metres of industrial and commercial
development, creating 12,000 jobs.
The opening of the town centre for trading in 2006.
